BB Milestones
Since Yuan2 started crawling and standing, she is enjoying touching and feeling things ard her :) Her favourite is to stand and cruise along the sofa -- pull down the seat cushions or watever she can reached on the sofa. Next is to proceed to the coffee table -- to grab the remote controller, telephone, tissue box etc. She also likes to crawl to the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room -- stand and look at the grass patch, passing vehicles on the road & MRT train.

She likes to join the older infants @ the play area -- from there she learns how to go through obstacles like crawling over and under (lowering head). At home, she will crawl under the bed, table n chair. Yesterday, TK placed a ball under the jitter buggy -- wow, she managed to lower he head and crawl under to get tha ball and come out thru the other side! Haha, we made her repeat her act so that we can take pic -- wow, she did it better each time!
She likes to clap and wave her hands -- especially when she listens to music or IFC caregivers are singing :) When we sing "twinkle twinkle little star", she will open n close her fingers happily.

We tried to toilet train her but she refused to sit on the potty -- wail in protest!
Last Friday, she called out "Ma Ma" loud and clear when she stirred from her sleep and called me to put back her pacifier! That's soooo sweet! Next is to wait for her to call "Pa Pa" :)
Now is the "monkey see monkey do" stage. She will observed us closely and the next moment she can mimick our actions -- like making "pok", "burk", "clark" sound with her lips n tongue :)

Finally, Yuan2's bo geh(toothless) time is over! We spotted her 1st tiny tooth sprouting up from her lower gum on Sunday! Hmm, does that account for the fever, excessive drools, lost in appetite, cranky, fussy n sleepless nites etc? Sure hope all will be over soon! Now, we will hear the biting sounds when she chew on the toys -- we better be careful abt putting our fingers in her mouth!
BB @ Chinese herbs
We have delayed giving Yuan2 Chinese herbs for the longest time. When her cough n runny nose persisted, we decided to give it a try - bought Eu Yang Sen's Bao Ying Dan and Si Sen Fen brown rice. Suprisingly, she takes the herbs well! For her last feed, I cook Si Sen Fen brown rice and add to her milk -- the combo looks like chocolate milk *haha*
How to cook EYS Si Sen Fen Brown Rice
1. Add 80ml of warm water in a pot
2. Add 2 scoops of EYS Si Sen Fen Brown Rice in the pot and stir evenly
3. Turn on the stove to low heat and cook for 5mins or till mixture becomes pasty. Must stir constantly to prevent lumps from forming
4. Turn off the stove and stir in FM 120ml(4 scoops of FM). The mixture will look like chocolate milk -- total abt 200ml.
5. Pour the mixture into the bottle and let cool.
6. Shake well before feeding baby.

BB with grandparents
Yuan2 is seeing her paternal grandparents(TK's parents) more often now. They will buy clothes, shoes, socks, toys for Yuan2 and come over our place to visit. We will bring Yuan2 to their place over the weekend. Almost every nite, Yuan2 will "yak" on the phone with grandma -- she will hold on to the phone, press the keys, shake the phone, and ee-ee-ah-ah (much to the delight of grandma).
As for my parents, we visit them once every 2 weeks. She gets to play with cousins Hui, Ying and Jayden, too. Usually, it is very lively and noisy with the kids ard and Yuan2 likes it :)
There was one Sunday, we left Yuan2 with her maternal grandma (my mother) for a few hours while we did CNY shopping in town. She was happily playing with the toys -- ocassionally, she will look for us but grandma will pacify her. However, for the next 1 week, she became clingy and wanna me to carry her. Hmm, maybe subconsciouly, she thot we abandon her! We gotta keep assuring her that we will come back for her and we love her loads!
