Finger licking good :)

Our little princess is 33 week this Sat -- we celebrate with a MacDonald Big Breakfast (actually it's TK who is craving for that :P) and attended our antenatal class. Topic of the day was spousal support during labour -- haha, TK said he will support with his singing *FAINT* After the class, we went for our appointment with gynae -- luckily, this time we waited for 1hr instead of the usual 2hr. Gynae was happy with my progress -- urine test & blood pressure OK. Thanks to my daily hip roll exercise, my placenta has moved up :) Our baby weighs 2.162kg --normal weight range. Next appointment will be 3 weeks later. Oh, during ultrascan, TK was so excited to see our little princess moved her hand to suck at her fingers! Gynae asked whether we had KFC -- finger licking good!

Weight Control
My weight gain of 1.1 kg from last appointment means more than half of it goes to our little princess -- she was 1.5kg at 30 week! Gynae commented that our baby will not be small and asked me to keep watch on my weight gain. Total weight gain is 10.3kg.

Baby's movement
We decided to take it easy this weekend and rest at home. While watching TV, I was having a good laugh watching my tummy contorting shape while our little precious was kicking up a storm. TK quickly grabed the camera and video it :)

Pelvic Pain
With regards to my pelvic pain, my gynae advised me to rest more to prevent over-stretching of the ligaments (skip yoga n long walks for the time being). Hope this will not get too serious and become SPD -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphysis_pubis_dysfunction

Magic 10

Counting down to 8 more weeks! Our little precious is 32-week last Sat. We attended antenatal class in the morning -- topic of the day is how to cope with Stage 1 Labour. TK was taught how to massage me to relieve labour pain :) Then we had a celebration lunch -- zha jiang mian + xiao long bao at our favourite restaurant "Jing Hua Xiao Chi" @ Neil Road. We took a stroll to Chinatown to shop for front button pyjamas (for ease of breastfeeding during confinement).

Gathering with May09 MTB
Last gathering before we pop, met up with 12 MTBs at Hotpot Culture @ Marina Square. So fun to see so many preggies having dinner together and sharing all sorts of information. Everyone is counting down to the EDD day!

Cousin Jayden
It was my nephew Jayden's full month celebration -- we joined in the celebration for a short while before heading home.

Shopping
This weekend, we bought a car seat protector for the baby car seat and drawers for putting baby clothes. TK was so happy to finally found a perfect toy for our little princess -- a cute moo moo toy that can do flying stunts :P

Weight Gain
Happy with my weight control -- now at 9.8kg. Still have 200g to the magic 10kg :)

Driving
TK finally persuaded me to stop driving. He has made arrangement to fetch me to/from work from April onwards. Though I am still fine with driving, getting in/out of car is becoming a chore with the huge tummy and the nagging pelvic pain is not showing any sign of easing...

Sports Day
Sunday was a "sports day" -- attended prenatal yoga class in the morning, went for a walk at Labrador Park after bat kut teh lunch @ Alexandra Village and a swim in the evening before curry udon dinner :)

False Labour Pain

Our little precious is 31-week last Sat -- counting down to 9 more weeks! The topic of the antenatal class is Labour & Delivery -- to prepare us for the BIG day. Gosh, the epidural needle is so thick & long!! Sure hope I dun need it! TK had to work over the weekend, so I stayed home to spring clean the cupboards to make room for baby stuff.

Disney On Ice
Part 1 of our 1st wedding anniversary celebrations was to watch Disney On Ice -- Princess Wishes @ Singapore Indoor Stadium. Our little princess enjoyed it and happily kicking throughout the show :) This is a "rehearsal" for TK -- next time, he will bring our baby to watch other shows :)

New Toy
Bought this cute Doraemi toy for our little precious :)

False Labour Pain
Began to experience tummy tightening and pelvic pain. Some mummies in the forum said that it is the symptom of braxton hicks contraction (false labour pain). I checked with the lecturer of the antenatal class -- she said it is more of pelvic expanding to prepare for delivery.

Weight Control
Yeah, managed to maintain 0.5kg gain this week :) Total weight gain is 9.5kg.

30km mark

Yeah, our little precious finally crossed the 30km mark (commonly known as hit-the-wall point for marathoners)! We visited the gynae to check on her progress -- wow, she is 1.5kg at 30-week :) We visited nephew Jayden over the weekend -- he is such an angel and sleep thru the afternoon :) There was an open-air concert at Botanic Garden -- we brought a picnic bag, drinks & snack to enjoy the music. Our little princess is happily dancing inside!

Shopping
Almost done with baby shopping, we still cannot resist to buy cute stuff for our princess :) Here's new toys for her -- cute pink moo moo, beansprout pillow & wall deco sticker.

Baby movement
We got a scare when I felt little movement on Monday - usually, our little princess will kick up a fuss in the morning to wake mummy up. TK was worried and wanna to go to gynae for check-up. I seeked the advise of mummies in the forum and most experienced the same thing (false alarm). I decided to observe for a while longer and thank goodness our baby started kicking hard before lunch *PHEW* Maybe our baby knows mummy was tired over the hectic weekend and wanna let me have a rest :) However, my gynae advises us to go to him immediately if we detect little baby movement for the coming 10 weeks -- juz in case the umbilical cord got tangle around the neck.

Placenta
My placenta is still low lying and the gynae said it has 70% chance of moving up. Need to "commmunicate" with our baby to ask her to help mummy to push up the placenta. Else I may have to go for c-sect instead of natural birth. My yoga teacher asked me to do more hip roll to push down the placenta. Avoid squatting and rest more.

Weight gain
Managed to maintain 0.5kg per week for the past 4 weeks. Total weight gain is 9kg -- haiz, think I am unable to meet my target of less than 10kg for the entire pregnancy! And here's my bump @ 30-week :-

Water retention
I usually take off my wedding ring when I reach home and will put it on before leaving the house in the morning. Last Sat, suddenly notice that my ring finger is slightly swollen and I have difficulty taking off my ring! Gosh, that's a sign of water retention! To avoid having the ring stuck on my finger, I have to stop wearing it and keep it in the safe. Joked to TK that I am "single" again :P Hope I can wear back my ring after giving birth :)

Backaches
Now that I am in 3rd trimester, I begin to feel more backaches due to the increasing weight :( And not easy to get up from sofa or bed... Need to do more yoga to relieve the aches...

Learning with mummy

Our little princess is 29-week last Sat and we celebrated with a dim sum breakfast -- usual fare of har kaw, siew mai, chee cheong fun, char siew pau :) I had to attend a 2-day work-related seminar from 9-6pm over the weekend -- sweet TK drove me to/fro Suntec and spent the weekend fixing the tap conversion(for our little darling's shower time) and setting up the computer table. Oh, he was very happy to re-live his pre-marriage life -- eat, sleep, play computer, eat, sleep (coz he seldom have this "luxury" when I am home) *haha*

Learning with mummy
The seminar was interesting and fun-filled with games like making buckets and building bridge) -- our little princess wanted to participate with lots of kicking!

Baby shopping
After my seminar, we went for dinner & shopping at Marina Square and Suntec to buy more stuff for our little princess :) Bought a cute romper with "Daddy's little princess" and tiny socks. Also bought some items for my hospital bag -- gotta get it ready by 36-week.

Cousin Jayden
My sis-in-law gave birth to a healthy boy last Tuesday(24 Feb 2009) -- 3.1kg @ 50cm. The baby is due in early March but he is in breech position at 38-39-week. So my brother and wifey decided to have c-sect on my brother's birthday -- perfect for his birthday present! Another bundle of joy in my family -- my 2 darling nieces 8-yo Hui & 5-yo Ying(my sis' daughters), nephews 7-yo Dino & 4-yo Davier(my elder bro's sons) and now nephew Jayden :) Our little princess will have cousin Jayden to play with when she grows up.

Weight control
The last I weighed on Friday, I have gained 8kg. Dunno whether it is physchological, I begin to feel more backaches and tired from the extra weight :P I started to take note of the time and food that I ate -- to track any trend in spike of weight gain :)

Cold sore
I had it once (a few years back) at the lower right corner of my lips during a ski trip due to dry lip & over sun exposure. Last Monday, I felt something not right at my lips and the next morning, a few fever blisters appeared at the same location as my last cold sore! Soon these merged to one huge blister -- very unsightly and create lotsa discomfort :( Read on the web that some mummies will be prone to cold sore due hormone changes. There is no cure and it will heals in 10-14 days. One MTB from the forum uses vaseline to relieve the pain -- so I bought a tube to try. Thank goodness it is healing well :) Will take care to moist my lips regularly!
